Mission

Hairston School of Dance Civic Ballet enriches the Greater Cincinnati community through the transformative power of dance by providing high-quality ballet education, performance, and artistic opportunities for dancers of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Through accessible programming, scholarships, financial assistance, community outreach, and exceptional performances, we strive to remove barriers to participation and ensure that every dancer has the opportunity to learn, grow, perform, and shine. We are committed to excellence in classical ballet and the performing arts while fostering creativity, confidence, discipline, cultural enrichment, and civic engagement within an inclusive community that welcomes dancers from throughout the Greater Cincinnati tri-state region.

Goals

Promoting excellence in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and related performing arts.
Providing performance opportunities for dancers of all ages and abilities.
Presenting ballet productions and educational programs for the benefit of the community.
Providing scholarships, financial assistance, outreach programs, and educational opportunities to increase access to dance training and performance.
Supporting civic engagement through arts education and cultural enrichment.
Preserving and advancing the art of ballet within the community.
Producing annual civic productions open to all students across the tri-state region who wish to participate, regardless of the school they attend.
